Have you ever thought about creating a repo or an ubuntu PPA to distribute newer vips versions as deb packages?

Would you be interested in implementing something like that?

any chance you know him on github? The provided version doesn t support vips dzsave due the lack of that zip component, maybe I can ask him if he could include the dependency to support it
